I'm connecting my cRIO 9045 to my host computer using a dual role and a network cable, but I'm failing to connect in a LabView VI.
I've set up the same subnet and installed all NI plug-ins, including Real-Time. I suspect the component versions in the cRIO and my LabView are different, but I don't know the password. Clicking set permissions shows the old and new passwords, but I don't know the old password.
Is formatting the disk the only solution?

This is a wrong forum to post question about cRIO. Please post to the Real-Time Measurement and Control board next time.

If you don't know the password, formatting the disk is the only. There is no secret tool to retrieve the password or it will be a security breach.
See Restore NI Linux RT Target to Factory Default Configuration to reformat the disk.
