"The Forboding Kudo of Doom"

Just gave Ben a Kudo, and here's what it looks like (screenshot below). I have refreshed the webpage, so it's not just a browser paint artifact. Using IE8.

The evil blink of the teddy is a red herring: sinister, indeed, but related, no.

Maybe it's in night mode? We can't have forum users being attacked by wild animals due to the glow of the yellow kudos button giving their location away while camping in the savannah now can we.

Who (or what) would ever attack Ben? He's such.... a teddy bear! The very thought is simply too ludicrous for the universe to even consider it...

Plus, I firmly believe that little twinkle can turn into a powerful laser beam that can vaporize would-be miscreants in their tracks. Ben doesn't need sharks with friggin' laser beams attached to their heads.

I wonder if this is a browser issue (I'm using Firefox) or a cache issue. I don't see the dark Kudo when I see those messages:

I only see the Doom Kudos for Kudos I have GIVEN. Try finding a post you have Kudoed, and report back if it's covered in Doom, and what browser you are using. (Again, my browser is IE8).

It just looks like it has a border around it. (Already mentioned I'm using Firefox. It's 3.6.6 to be exact.)

After trying to doomify some kudos in this thread, all I see are lots of raised kudos images with ticks. No night mode kudos here it would seem.
