Unfloating administrator-floated threads

Molly, is it possible to have something in the current system to allow me to do that? I had about 10 threads floated in the LV forum, I finally found the time to go over them and get rid of them and now I still have 3 threads which I can't get rid of. It would be nice if a thread floated by an admin would automatically go to the top for all the users, but that I would then have the option to unfloat it without having to wait for the admin to decide that it's time.

tst -

Unfortunately, there isn't a way for an individual to unfloat a thread that was floated for the entire community.  Interesting feature request though.  I will make a note of it.  I will try to keep the list of floated threads to a max of 3 in any single board.

Thanks!

Thanks Molly, I feared as much (and 3 is too much me. I prefer none, although I understand why this can't be done).

BTW, my attention was called to the new brainstorming board. Any reason it's not in the list? And are there other interesting new boards.

Back to this one, Nick.

The LV board now has 4 administrator floated thread (one of them has been there for the last six months!) and a couple more of my own and it tends to get rather annoying. Not to mention the fact that one of those threads is an advertisement, which is probably technically forbidden by the TOU ("...you are prohibited from: ...Advertising or offering to sell or buy any goods or services"). I don't have any problem with Jim and Jeffrey, and from what I've heard about the book, it should be very good, but I just don't want it floated to the top of "my" board.

And I see the brainstorming board is still not in the list (not to mention the new beta Lego board).

 tst and others.
I have talked to Mr Kring about the floated LV for Everyone thread and I have agreed to float it for 1 month then we will reevaluate.  I will remove the oldest thread from the floated list to keep the list to the 3 max that Molly promised.  As of yet, there is no way to "defloat" threads Smiley Sad

Laura, as you can see, you're already the third admin I'm bothering about this.

Since I see this still hasn't been implemented, I will at least ask that you consider unfloating the "LV at 20" thread. It has been almost a year since Altenbach started it and by that reasoning LV should already be 21.

Hi tst,

After reading the thread about new users posting in the wrong places, I realized that this has been happening in the LabVIEW at 20 thread.  I thought about unfloating it then and now I actually have unfloated it.

Thanks for the reminder!

Well, I'll be...

I just went into the LV board and couldn't see the line seperating the floated threads from the rest of the board. My initial reaction (really) was "I know I didn't float all these threads that I'm seeing".

Thanks, Laura.
