I have only managed to do this once or twice since snippets were introduced and I always have to find help to do it.
This morning I have tried "dragging and dropping" and "copy and paste" using both Internet Explorer and Chrome.
I either end up with a picture of the snippet or just a link to the website on my block diagram.
How do I get a snippet from the board into my block diagram?

The pinned thread right now on the LabVIEW subforum states snippets are broken on the forum.

That being said it isn't fully broken and you can still use them. Okay some of this might be chrome specific. Find a snippet, right click it and choose open image in new tab. Now you will have a URL like this:
In this address bar remove the image size information to be this:

Now hit enter. This image can now be dragged to a LabVIEW block diagram from chrome.

Using Firefox 52.6
I click on the image, which opens up an image viewer. There is then a download button. So use that. But the extension seems to magically disappear. So I change the name in Windows Explorer. Now I can just drag it onto a block diagram.

Can we please get this post fixed on the first page of the forums? It took me 45 mins to try and find out how to get snippet off of the forum. Grrrr
