Autoscroll up when placing insert point (android)

Continued from This old problem ...

As soon as a post contains more than the few lines that fit in the edit window, editing gets tedious. (This is often the case when quoting previous posts!) Whenever I place the insert point, the edit window immediately scrolls to the top, moving the placed insert point out of view. To continue editing, I need to scroll the insert point back in view. Sisyphean!!!

Is this the same exact issue as what you previously reported in 2017? Is it safe to say that it was mostly resolved as of your last post in the linked topic but it has recently resurfaced?

Did you notice this very recently? We had an update on Thursday morning.

Also, are you still on the same device as last time?

Yes, I thought it was resolved, but started happening again recently. (Same device, but updated from Android 7 to 8.1 quite a while ago.)

Can anyone else reproduce this?

I saw it on my phone this morning as well.  Not sure what version of Android it is currently running.

Thanks for checking this. I had tested it with a version 9 and I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.Today I tried with an older version (6.0.1) and the issue remains. On version 9, I noticed that it still happens when the quoted post in the reply has an image on it.

I escalated the issue again and we will keep you updated.
