Why some people say Local Variables are bad...

I suggest going to the document and using the feedback function to rate this document as poor (or even better write a comment).

That way it might get rewritten.

I spotted a new beginning thread of using producer/consumer architecture (and other good coding standards) combined with an abuse of locals.

Hells-kitchen example. And another one.

The sad situation in above case, that it's a mixture of bad beginner mistakes (notice the sequence continuing to the right) and the hope to overcome it with not yet really understood concepts (notice the event structure in the consumer loop).

Hope he shows his rearchitected vi soon so I and others could give him a huge push to become a decent developer.

Is the second one a "butt dialed" posting? 😉 Love the portable devices, but(t) they do add an new level of possible mistakes into the equation, and we won't even go to "drunken Forum posting"!

HAHA, actually, I cancelled the post hitting "x" on my browser. Then I made an edit and pressed post again. However, the first one was posted already apparently. Notice the slight difference at the end of the two posts.

To speak to your last point, "don't drink and LabVIEW". Proverb, anyone? Smiley Tongue

I didn't say don't drink and LabVIEW, just don't post to the forums. Of course, with two of my favorite establishments having wifi ...
