OK all you North-West Pacific types! My plans have changed yet again!
That recent brief trip out ya'lls way netted a nice offer with better scenery than around Milwaukee. So, I'll be arriving over the weekend of the 15th. (Double Cool! The Vikings have a bye week so I won't miss a game while driving and settling in)
I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of you at the PLUG meetings.

Welcome!
And enjoy Mother Nature's "welcome" -- Hold onto your hat and bring a good rain jacket. We've got a storm blowing through this weekend.

Thanks one I've noticed it's been a bit windy I'm currently sitting on I-90 right at the Great Divide in Montana heading out that way speaking about natural things you can do for recreation and being "at elevation";) nobody told me you could do that recreationally in Washington:0 I've never done that before! I'm surprised.

There is a winery in Vancouver, WA, English Estates, that we went to a few years ago. They frequently have live music and some kind of cook out on Fridays, I think. I get email from them, but being at the other end of I 90 in Central NY state, it is a bit far for a party! There is Fort Vancouver with some moderately interesting displays, they had a working carpenter and blacksmith when we were there. There are craft breweries and brew pubs ALL OVER the greater Portland area.
As to the altitude stuff, when Kerry and I were in Seattle a few years ago they had a big Hemp festival at the "Art Park". The cops gave out bags of Doritos with a message about the does and don'ts of the law (google "seattle police doritos") which were selling for a lot of money the next day on Ebay. Pretty funny.

Thanks Putnam!
Surpisingly, There was a company wide off-site at Ft. Vancouver last week. It was a fairly interesting place to zip around! Lots of renovation in progress right now.
For now, I think I'll continue to buy my own Doritos 🙂
