Should Wikipedia be considered as a possible repository for LV FAQs?  I am not knowledgable about all the options for articles posted in Wikipedia, so I am curious if you can optionally only allow certain people to edit articles or just generally how editing works.  I think in all articles I have seen there is an "Edit" link so that anyone(?) can just start editing?  Doesn't someone have to approve or accept changes?  I saw an announcement in Wikipedia not long ago about some articles being maliciously changed by some dufus-wads who apparently have nothing better to do.  There has to be some way to stop that from happening, right?  Anyway, might this be a better place to place FAQs where they can be edited by a community as needed instead of trying to make them relatively complete and error-free before being given to NI to post?  Just a thought I had.

A repository of FAQs is probably to specific for wikipedia.  It would belong as an "External Llink," though.

However, there is already something called LabVIEW FAQ, which links to the Lava Forums.

See here:

In general, anyone can edit wiki articles.  I think if they aren't registered, their IP gets logged and available for anyone to see.
One could start their own LabVIEW wiki and restrict access, I bet.

This is an old thread but I think it's important to attach this info here.
The LabVIEW community now has a dedicated Wiki where it can add any LabVIEW related content they want.
You asked for it, now it's here...

wiki.lavag.org

PS. The Wiki is powered by the same engine that Wikipedia uses.
