Ah Shane, I was actually poking fun at a member who was posting a zillion questions -- some of them good, some of them not -- perhaps a month or two back...her signature line was "young, beautiful, sweet, female physicist". The signature line struck me as funny. I mean, that all might be true, but is it necessary to advertise it?
I'm an engineer, as it happens. So you can also knock out the "physicist" part.
The "stupid" part comes courtesy of Michelle, for which thread you were present. I know I'm in good company there, because she clearly felt that most, if not all, of us who responded were stupid.
And, of course, the "grumpy old man" reference came from that particular thread...although Ray.R assured me in that thread that I'm the grumpiest old man he's ever known.
I don't mind "Active Participant" at all...although I have to agree that "Proven Active Veteran" sounds more impressive!

I actually got (most of) the references but I thought of Altenbach's alter-ego with the "beayutiful, sweet...." stuff.
Ah, soon we can make an episode of Family guy out of all the second-hand references.
Shane.

I dont like it either. I went from being a Proven Active Veteran (respected by new comers) to nothing but an active participant. Talk about degrading.....

WHAT??? They changed all the bars in Austin? This is not good, how can they do that! Now I'm going to have to find a new favorite watering hole on 4th street next time I am in town.
Hopefully they still have the same atmosphere, music, and entertainment.
