How acceptable is to exhume old threads?

Not talking about the help forum, those should only be revived if you have a problem relevant to topic (although posting in 2021 to a thread started in 2005 seems a bit iffy to me), i'm talking about the breakpoint off topic threads. I often find old and interesting threads there, but rarely decide to comment on them.

My opinion: Breakpoint has no real rules other than act reasonably.  And there are some great gems in the Breakpoint that I could spend days reading through again.  So if you bring those back up, I won't mind (but my employer might).

IMO, If you think a comment adds value, then add value.

I think this goes for all forums, although what the criteria of added value are different.
