Computer Fail

So I was using my laptop at my house (which is where most of my forum posts come from) a few weeks ago.

Suddenly, my computer shut off on its own. After failing to turn back on after serveral tries, I got suspicious.

After troubleshooting for about half an hour, I found out that my motherboard failed Smiley Sad

I finally got my laptop back today, and I get to return to the forums

So.... what did I miss? Smiley Very Happy

We had 10 new zealots added to the rolls.  There were thousands of softball questions posted that anyone could have answered.  Everyone doubled or tripled their post counts in just two weeks.

I'm sorry to hear you missed out.

And the Dalai Lama and the Pope got into an argument about whether sequence structures violate doctrine. 😛

Nah, not much happened at all.

Then the UN Secretary General tried to appease everyone by saying "Can't we all agree that local variables are evil?". At which point the entire assembly broke out into a riot.

... and I was personally invited by the UN Secretary General for my supporting arguements that Local Variables are evil..

to put an end to the riot.

And NI released a memo that showed it approved the use of waterboarding for programmers who use global variables.

NI proudly announced that the Labview 2009 version only will support the Express VI concept. As a NI CEO put it to words. To much time is wasted on Labview coding today. If your application is not "measurement ready" in 5 minutes. It is not worth your time or effort

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

I hope it was backed up with a proper (Colin) Powell point presentation. We should not go to easy with members of the "Axis of Evil" programming style.

But was brining a vial of Local Variables onto the floor of the UN an good idea?

It still smelled of sulfur the day after.
