After seeing the invitation from Dr Gray's invititaion to Adopt a Physiasist I found out that he is also a member of Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics National Honor Society).
So after seeing Cory start a thread to find out if anyone is interested in baseball I figured why not start (another thread that nobody will reply to
) a thread to see how many other Sigma Pi Sigma types ended up in the LabVIEW camp.
So if you are Sigma Pi Sigma please post up.

Prior to my eligibility for SPS I had a bad experience with Tau Beta Pi so I pretty much wrote-off all of the honor societies. Not something I lose any sleep over, but as I look back older and wiser, probably a bit of an over-reaction. Had I been around SPS before TBP I would probably have accepted the invite.
I don't know if I am really in the LV camp, either, since I am not a developer, nor do I play one on TV. I just happen to use LV in my lab, and perhaps now and then around the apartment.
Looks like 0 for 2, maybe 0.5 for 2, since I am a physicist on the periphery of the LV camp.

Tau Beta Pi
Yep I'm a member of that one as well. So I'll call that close enough.

I am in Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical engineering honor society. At one time I thought I wanted to be a physicist, but when I got to college I found that I did not have sufficient knack for the level of abstract thought required to be a top-notch physicist. Now I try to take what you guys have learned and make something work from it.

At the risk of sounding like I'm just making noise...
I've never heard of any of these. Are they just something in the United States?
