barcode input than read from excell

Hello all,

I am trying to write a program where I have the user scan a barcode than LabVIEW will search an excel file for that barcode number. The excel file will have more info in that row such as serial number and part number. What I cant figure out is how to have LabVIEW scan the excel file for the number I will be inputting. Any help would be appreciated.

There are examples included with LabVIEW on how to communicate with Excel. Start with that.
