Hi, i'm using IMAQ to display a video from a USB camera. It works well. I used web publishing tool to acces this vi via internet, that means i created a remote front panel. The problem is that,as i read in other posts, the image display is very slow. I have been reading some other posts about the same problem but i can't find the solution, i'm not sure on how to use ActiveX controls or things like that.. is there an easier solution to increase the transfer speed of the images or could you explain me step by step how to use some other feature? or any example?
Thanks for yuor help

Hello Kanogui,
What is happenig is that the Remote Front Panel is not the best way to transfer video, when you are using the IMAQ driver to show video, and you use remote front panels, the way the video is beeing transfered is in an uncompressed format, which makes it really slow to be shown.
The best way to reproduce video in a remote computer is to compres de video, then send it to the other computer, and then reproduce the video in the other computer, instead of using remote front panels.
let me know if this is this useful for you, so we can discuss how to implement something like that.

Thanks for your answer! What i want is to transfer a real time "video". See what is happening at the time.

Kanogui,
Do you know which bandwith do you have available?? Also, do you know which is the lower resoltion that you can use?
We can decrease the resolution to improve the visibility of the video.

I have no idea about the bandwith i'm using... i'll check it out later and i'll try to decrease the resolution in order to increase a little the speed, but i guess anyway it will be slow. But thanks for your ideas. Do you also have any suggestion about pubishing the front panels? I used web publishing tool to do it and everything is right. My server computer has a fixed IP and i can access the URL from a computer among the LAN but when try it from another internet connection (e.g my home) it doesn't work. I alreay tried to desactivate firewall and antivirus and i'm using port 80.

Sure Kanogui,
In order to publish a front panel trough a firewall, there are some steps that you need do, here is the KB with the info!

Did you follow the instructions of the KB when building the front panels?
