I download but didn't get as much time to use the beta as I would have liked. By far the most exciting new feature for me is the error cluster constant. No wait - I mean asynchronous call by reference. I will definitely be using that.

Too bad my internet connection in the Austin hotel is so bad that I cannot even watch the webcast without constant pauses.

Looks like I need to wait with the upgrade until I am back home. My symmetric 35Mbps FIOS connection is hard to beat. 😉

I downloaded everything but the device drivers, as there is some issue with NI on the download link.  Sent a message to NI Webmaster.  We'll see how long it takes to get fixed.  Gotta reboot, then can play with 2011.

AFAICT it's the same driver DVD as in the last DVD shipment - February 2011. So maybe you already have it downloaded somewhere.

Ok. To reply to my own answer:

Installing LV 2011 is "fun":

As noted you cannot DL the device drivers. The ones that we have don't offer adding to LV 2011 - it's missing in the installtion menus.

Similar problems with the FPGA module - downloading 2011Xilinx12 file fails.

So, all in all, installing the LabVIEW 2011 is sort of an anti-climax. You thorw a day out the window, and in the end nothing works (yet).

I hope this get's fixed soon.

The link on the LabVIEW 2011 page is to the Feb 2011, but if you go throught the download drivers general page, you can get to Aug 2011, which also fail to download.

I'm not able to download the drivers either.  The downloader says, "Download failed.  Retrying in 34 seconds ..."

There are multiple options to download the device driver DVD.

You can download it using the NI downloader (Only one works):

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/driver_cd/aug_11/dcd_aug11_1_downloader.exe

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/driver_cd/aug_11/dcd_aug11_2_downloader.exe

(Only one NI download seems to work, but you still need the two files)

You can download the files directly:

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/driver_cd/aug_11/dcd_aug11_1.exe

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/driver_cd/aug_11/dcd_aug11_2.exe

Or there are a zip file:

http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/driver_cd/aug_11/dcd_aug11.zip

Just remember that is it 4.7 Gb you have to download!
