Did you mean:

500k messages in the LV board !!!

Have you already noticed that the LabVIEW board has just crossed the 1/2 million messages mark ? Amazing !

  • 250k : May, 20, 2007 (almost exactly 3 years ago)
  • 365k :  October, 30, 2008
  • 1M : Let's guess...

Subtract the latter from the former to get a small number!

Don't forget that the knights also post in the other boards, not only the LV board.

Here is my prediction using Linear Fit.VI in LabVIEW, of course (assuming amount of posts stay linear). I got slope and intercept and caculated out to 1 million. Here is my prediction.

There's no reason to assume linearity. The use of the forums has been growing (221 p/d from 250k to 365k, 235 p/d from 365k to 500k) and will probably continue to grow as more people use LV and NI pushes it more. It won't grow infinitely, but we'll probably get to 1M before 2016 (assuming the world doesn't end).

We really should get more accurate ways of predicting the forum statistics.

Secondly, we should be able to predict the stock exchange rates of NI based on the forum statistics.

Then we can write a LabVIEW program that automates the trading for us.

When we are all rich, we won't need to work any more and stop using LabVIEW and this forum.

Then all our stocks will crash.

Then we are poor again and restart programming with LabVIEW and frequent this forum.
