Why is there no function to reverse "Index & Bundle Cluster Array"

Status: New

The function Index & Bundle Cluster Array can be quite useful and mimics a bundle in a for loop.

The reverse operation (= unbundle in a for loop!) would be equally useful.

I wonder why it is not part of LabVIEW. Seems like an omission. 😉

I suggest to add it with the same icon graphics, but with left and right halves swapped.

The new function could be called "Index & Unbundle Cluster array" 😄

Yes ! (especially for the usecase you outline in your screenshot, this will make sorting cluster with pointer a lot nicer [and possibly] faster.)

I almost wrote about that idea a week ago (and then I forgot about it) ...

I always wondered if that function existed somewhere, and I just couldn't find it.  🙂  I agree this would be a great addition.

It would be sweet if you could Unbundle By Name here, and it could be resized up and down to only select the items you want. I would not use it otherwise (I avoid Bundle/Unbundle without name like the plague)

The "unbundle by name" version has apparently been suggested here.

This is allready available as an XNode on LAVA, for anyone not wanting to wait.

As TCPlomp pointed out, the XNode works just fine. if you use VIPM, it is a snap to install. Just don't forget to install the lava_lib_LabVIEW_API_scripting_tools library first, as it is needed.

I have been using LV for 4 years now and never noticed Index & Bundle Cluster Array. Holy crap thank you for that!
