Show splitter bars more clearly in edit mode

Status: New

How many splitter bars does this VI have?

The answer is three, but they might not be where you think:

It would be useful if LV showed the splitter bars more clearly in edit mode. Switching to run mode would display them "correctly".

This idea is similar to Show hidden controls as "ghosts" in edit mode and the same basic concept can be extended further. If anyone has anything else which is difficult to see and can be shown more clearly in edit mode, why not add it as a comment?

As an easily accessible option, like context menu, OK, because you may need to edit an look in the way it would be at running time.

There could probably be a check box added for each of the options in the FP page of the LV options dialog (i.e. a section called "show in edit mode" followed by check boxes for hidden controls, splitter bars, etc.).

That would allow you to trigger this globally. If you want to trigger it during editing, you can simply switch to run mode using Ctrl+M (although that doesn't work if the VI is broken and doesn't allow you to edit stuff).
