Apologies to a certain person who I know (1) reads these messages (2) has LV2009 (3) knows enough LV to get the joke (4) knows enough football to get the joke and (5) was previously antagonized by my efforts to give him an interactive Steelers Logo to deface at will.  I didn't know who the Chargers were playing when I decided to try this out, but once I found out did it stop me?  Well...no  Smiley Very Happy

Sorry, meant to attach this as well for the non-LV9ers.

No. No. No.  Not going to happen!

Very good trick.  I'm curious as to how you pulled this one off.  Here is my quess hidden so that if someone wants to know, they can highlight the line below.

VI Snippet where you modified the actual image portion of the .png file from what the snippet tool creates.

I'll have to go back to that other thread, I didn't realize you were posting it so I could deface it.  I actually didn't get a chance to play with that one VI that night.

I do appreciate the joke.  I honestly did LOL when I saw it.

Ravens, I have read enough of your posts to know you'd get the joke (and probably enjoy it).  Didn't want to appear to be 'piling on' or worse to be accused of being a Steelers fan.  Smiley Wink

Ben wanted picture 'controls' so I just figure that picture I drew in honor of his 10K post would be a good object to "interact" with in a creative fashion.  My personal edition is probably not fit for public display.

As to your guess, that works for adding text, in this case I went in the other direction. (highlight below if unclear)

Added snippet metadata to image file

Darin,

Thank you very much for that and the other stuff you have been doing to keep us entertained. I have to admit your name has been added to my list where I have to take a look to "see what is he up to now?".

Re: poking fun at the various teams.

I'm OK with knocking the Steelers. There is something about 6 that makes it easy to handle*.

* specially when most of team from last year is back and healthy and they have been told there is another number after 6.

... and I though that talk of the end of the world was just nonsense.

I wonder what my wife will say when I tell her we don't have to worry about saving for retirement anymore. But then again maybe I should not complicate life for her. After all she will have to decide between cheer for the Steelers and the Bears, and she does have a soft spot for bears.

When you lose to a Barry Switzer coached team, that is worth at least -1.  And in my own little world, the "Bettis Bowl" never happened.  All I remember of that game was constantly adjusting my TV since I swore the refs had yellow and black striped shirts on but it was showing up as white and black on my screen.  Still, 4 superbowl victories is more than most teams...

Darin.K,

I have a quick question for you. How did you manage to edit the vi snippet image, while still keeping the "LabVIEW" information contained?

I have been trying this for a while, out of fun, and could not get this to work initially. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Poses an interesting question really... Could be a new type of security, people password protect vi's and code, and hide them etc. However storing code in innocent looking photos.. Hmm! Not bad at all!
