Use NI package builder apps to create Package installer

I want to create installer with all the package installed through the NI package builder apps. My questions are around the setup.

1- On the ui installer  when you add packages,  do you need to selected  Product only , all visible packages or all packages (including hidden)

2- How to selected all the package on the same time and not click one by one

Dear Tallec,

By selecting All packages (including hidden), you will display all products and packages. Unfortunately, they still need to be selected one by one, there is no option to select all at once.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance or additional clarification.

Best regards,

Clara

I worked on NI Package Builder product early on and I agree this is an oversight. I should point out that hidden packages should NOT have to be selected for inclusion because hidden packages are installed due to dependencies from visible packages, and dependencies are automatically included when building an installer, so I recommend focusing only on visible packages.

If you are trying to duplicate what a few NI installers install, there is the option "Installer Product" that allows you to pull from those directly. If your goal is to duplicate what is installed on the system, which could include more than from original installers, you will have to manually select visible packages as you asked about.
