Add msg System explorer error

Hi

Is it possible to add a msg in the "System explorer error"  Window ?

For example, i create a custom device for a specific board. From the system explorer i detect if the board is present in the current PXI chassis. But if i change the Controller IP, and the board is not avaiable in the new controller, i want to add a msg to tell the user that this configuration will not work ...

Can i do such sort of thing ?

I haven't found which .NET constructor may have access to what you need. How about placing a button on your interface that launches a hardware test ?

similar functionality was implemented in 

NI VeriStand Add-On - Scan Engine and EtherCAT

There is also source code available, so you can have a look at that.
