vxi-mxi-2 termination

Hi,

I have question regards to the U35 setup for the VXI-MXI-2 card for the termination.  Per user's manual (page 40), it is said that the first and last MXIBus device connects to the MXIbus...must terminate the MXIBus.  But the next paragraph, it says VXI-MXI-2 automatically senses whether or not it is at either end of the MXIbus cable to terminate the MXIbus.  I wonder does that I mean I can set U35 to automatic MXIBus Termination for both of my VXI-MXI-2 cards?  Or I would need to manually set the U35 so that both of my VXI-MXI-2 card terminates the MXIBus?

Hi Peggy,

The user manual is correct and the VXI-MXI-2 will automatically sense whether it is at either end of the MXIbus cable to terminate the MXIbus.
