GNU radio versus LabVIEW

Hello All

I have Labview 8.5 tp use with NI USRP 2920 and I wanted to know if I can use the built in communication block or sub VIs with that version. I am asking this because I have a number of examples that got downloaded with the software that when I try to open it says that I need a newer version of Labview than the one I have.

Hi yasmine.hassan,

The NI-USRP is only supported by LabVIEW 2009 and later.  You will need to update to a newer version of LabVIEW to use the NI-USRP driver.

Is is possibe to use GNU radio with usrp 2920 on windows 10? Why we are bound to use ubuntu/linux
