Hello AgentAstronaut,

I am currently considering to use a system with 2 synchronized RXs as well, for the DOA implementation.

From the geometrical point of view, the direction based on 2 antennas can be calculated using the standard expression(attached).

MUSIC requires that the number of targets would be lower then the number of antennas used.

As a result, seem to me that using two synchronized antennas should be feasible, and USRP 2901 may answer the clocks/phases requirements.

Would be glad to have your opinion on the issue.

Hi Sen Sen Sen,

I'm not an expert on the MUSIC algorithm by any means but I have heard that you need at least three antennas to get a reading, and four antennas to get a good reading.

I don't really have much more to add than that.
