Title:TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND CONTROLLER

Description:

TO SENSE AND CONTROL THE ROOM TEMPERATURE

Products

AM8051,LM35

The Challenge

The main challenge is to control the temperature in a limited environment i.e. Room temperature at defined specific temperature with the use of the said method there will be no fluctuation of temperature from user set temperature.

The Solution

In order to find solution to the said challenge for controlling temperature various device like thermostat are being used traditionally in all heating and cooling devices i.e. Thermostat of heater user sets the temperature and if the temperature crosses the set temperature the thermostat cuts off the supply to heating element .In reverse conditions if the temperature of room still rises due to some conditions then thermostat will not function still the heating element doesn’t reaches up to the set temperature were the situations is use of temperature sensor and controller in this air conditioner and heater are connected to this circuit and user can set the temperature using two switches it will help in controlling the set temperature.

Introduction

The temperature sensor and controller is designed to sense the temperature and control the temperature of the environment using air conditioner and heater simultaneously with the help of designed circuit there will be no fluctuation of temperature set by the user the temperature will be controlled using two inbuilt switches one switch to increase temperature with the help of heater and other switch to decrease temperature with the help of air conditioner if the temperature of room is above the required set temperature then it will switch on air conditioner to reduce the temperature and if temperature is below the required set temperature then it will automatically switch on heater to increase temperature

System Working

The system works to control the set temperature set by user where air conditioner and heater are being used for obtaining the set required temperature in a room or specified area for example if user sets the room temperature to 21°C and the room temperature is 10°C then it will put heater on and increase the temperature to 21°C and switch to idle state and if due to some external source if temperature increases to 21.1°C it will put air conditioner on and bring temperature to 21°C

As soon as the circuit is switched on it will first sense the temperature through temperature sensor i.e. LM35 now LM35 will give analog signal in form of voltage to ADC0804. ADC0804 will further convert analog signal to digital as microcontroller is capable to deal only in digital signals as the voltage received by ADC0804 will be multiplied by 10 and we will get corresponding temperature it will be displayed on LCD and now it is compared with the temperature set by the user if it is greater than the set temperature by the user then it will switch on air conditioner and if it is low then it will switch on heater

- Benefits

-It can be used in home appliances (ex. Air-conditioner, refrigerator etc)

-It can be used in food technology

-In automobiles

-In medical/chemical industry

-In fabrications

Conclusion

The system is designed to sense and control the temperature in turn helping to control any fluctuation in temperature. This new system will help in creating better temperature controlled environment across personal and industrial establishments where temperature plays a vital role.
