ABSTRACT
Our project is about home automation with the help of Arduino open source electronics platform and implemented with various sensors. Home automation defines as single or networked devices and system that add to the safety and to the coziness of homes, maintain pleasant indoor condition energy efficiently ,facilitate inhabitant’s residency and copying of everyday chores and enable content transfer connection within home internal and external networks.
Home automation is going to give high tech solution for common problem we are facing today with saving time, money and energy. It is resolving home make annoyance and improving home management efficiency. Home automation serves many application like home security, centralized control of house, versatility and convertibility of the system for energy conservation, money saving and comfort. Elderly and disabled users are benefited from automation the most.
Our home automation project is going to implement with the help of Arduino and sensors like gas sensor, motion detector, LDR, voice recognition, temperature and pressure sensor and we are going to control the home environment by using Infrared module, Bluetooth Module, Voice based recognition and GSM (SMS based).
All the current activities of home information will be send to the individual using SMS and also the user can able to control every activities in his home by simply sending an SMS. Our intelligent Arduino platform receives the retrieve the information from the SMS and do the necessary event. And also during the situation of theft, our intelligent system will annunciate the condition to the user and also to the security system. We are using Software like Embedded C in Arduino 0023,Arduiino 1.0.1 versions, NATIONAL INSTRUMENT LABVIEW SOFTWARE, android support (2.2 -4.0 ice cream sandwich) are used.
We are planning to use LABVIEW software and based on that the entire home environment can be controlled. By reading the serial port data from our microcontroller board (Arduino) the entire home information will be collected and necessary control action will be taken based on our program in LABVIEW environment.
The challenges of home automation having various categories like system high price, work task, technology, education, attitude, lack of marketing etc. In this busy world small things are ignored which ultimate led to big loss and this limitation can be overcome by our intelligent home automation system.

Great work friends. Nice explanation and documentation of the VI`s. Insted of typing the command to the ardino you might have set the button so that the fron pannel would be more efficient. Try to edit the spelling of the LabVIEW in this post. All the best for the future.
