how to extend graph to act like strip chart

I would like have the display graph extend out like a strip chart, but my display keeps updating with just the first 1 second of data

You will need to use a waveform chart which is only available with scalar data.  Depending on your system, you can try using one sample on demand to obtain the scalar value.  You can also try to implement processing like the Amplitude and Level step which will produce DC and RMS scalar values.  See the Display Formats section of the Signal Express Help for more information.  Hopefully this helps!

I always add an Amplitudes and Levels step for the channels of interest; then drag the DC signal into the graph. From there you can right-click on the graph, click Update Mode, and select between Strip, Scope, or Sweep Chart.
