Sync pulse on 5422 in Standard Mode How?

Solved!
Go to solution

For a trigger  I want to output a Sync pulse on every periode (to PFI0 AND PXITrigX) on a 5422 FGEN  in Standard Mode.

I can do it in AWG Mode, but how to do it in Standard mode?

Found this community example that solved the task 🙂

Didn't know that the marker events also work in standard mode...

The example is using Data Marker Events. This is different than the Marker Events associated with Arb Waveform Mode. What the Data Marker Event feature does is, essentially, route out up to four distinct bits from the waveform data being fed into the main DAC on the 5422.

If you want the absolute best possible jitter performance on the sync pulse, then you'd be better off with one of our dedicated Function Generators, like the 5402 and 5406, which use a calibrated hardware comparator in order to create the sync pulse.

Good luck!
