Using FPGA PID and entering PID gains without them being overwritten by vi

Hello

I am using FPGA PID vi. Word length by default is 16 bit and interger word length is 5 bits. I understand that this vi returns quantized fixed point value for PID gains and rewrite it into the controls.

Is it possible to enter say 0.01 in the integral control of PID gain cluster and not having it overwritten by the vi in run mode?

Kind Regards

Im a little Unsure of what you are trying to do. Is it simply setting a default value on a control within a cluster? If so the following link show how this can be done.

http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvhowto/settingclusterdefaultvals/

If this is not quite what you needed then let me know the issue in a little more depth and we can have a another look at the issue.
