We have an NI 9149, and we cannot connect in NI-Max - Remote Systems.
However, I CAN ping the device name when you connect the device via USB to a PC. You can use the same address to ssh, but the default name/password does NOT work.
Can you reset to factory defaults without being able to connect via NI-Max?

Hi Chris.
In regards to the network issue, i'd recommend an IP reset (setting the network settings to DHCP/Link-local) Verify the System IP Configuration - NI.
With the lost password, you should probably request a .cfg file from NI to reset the device. There are a few of these floating around on the forums, however, I know from experience that there are different versions depending on the device you're using, so I'd recommend talking to NI in order to get the correct one.
