Format RT Target

Hi.

What is the difference between "RT Format Target VI" and the new "Format VI" installed with "NI System Configuration"?

It seems the first can be used also when the target is not in safe mode, does it?

Which of them I should use for a new project?

Hi Benny,

it's true that the RT Format Target VI can be used even if the target is not in safe mode.

The new Format VI is most suitable for PXI RT controllers since it can format the controller with the Reliance File System.
