I am trying to use the CAN Basic example with a 9853 C-series module. I am getting the 65538 error on my CAN Input node. I'm not getting any errors on my output node. Can anyone give me any advice on this? I am sending messages from CAN1 to CAN0.
Thanks

Hello,
I have located the following KnowledgeBase that covers this particular error with the NI 9853: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019O6tSAE&l=en-US . Please let me know if verifying the proper termination helps.

I had the baud rate set to the default of 500 kb/s. I switched it to 250 on each port and everything worked. Any idea why this would have been causing the problem?

It's highly probably that the termination on your cable was not compatible with the speed you were trying to transmit. Proper cable termination is covered here: https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/09/can-physical-layer-and-termination-guide... and the symptoms of improper termination is covered here: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000P71RSAS&l=en-US
