Running in Austin for NIWeek

Hello everyone,

Last year in European CLA-summit in Rome (Italy) we introduced a " running in..." session.

It was all about getting the most of the city where the summit took place. Another way to see the city and another way to share time with attendees. I experienced running around the lake last year (early in the morning of course). It would be nice to share a ride with other people and why not discover new paths to run.

Let me know if you're interested and I'm pretty sure we could arrange something.

My AirBnB is just a few minutes from Town Lake so I usually do the 5km around the lake in a morning, or sometimes up towards Mopac. I recommend not starting later than 6:15am due to heat

Perhaps we can synchronise our start one morning and run together.

I'll be at the Hilton (just in front of the convention center). We could certainly meet around 35 bridge to run around the lake.

Last year I ran only around the lake between 5 and 18 km depending on the motivation and the jet lag. I glance at this website to see where runners are used to training (great example of big data) but any idea from "real people" are more than welcome 😉

Even if we can arrange a run day to day in Austin, I'd like to know if you are interested in an "official" NIWeek run on Tuesday morning. We could start in front of the convention center and do a 5 - 10 km run around the lake. The day will start with a run and end with the LAVA BBQ !

We had a nice jog around town lake this morning, we started at 6.30 from the Hilton.

Hi there,

Hope that everyone is safe in Austin. I think I'll try to do an easy run every morning before the keynote for a 5 to 8 km turn around the lake.

For those who want to join me, we can meet at 6:20am in front of convention center entrance (4th St / Trinity St - Coordinates 30.264992, -97.740002). That will allow everyone to take, at least, a shower before keynotes start
