Hi all I'm new here so please bear with me.
i need help i just acquired a used pxi 8108 and have removed a working pxi-8156b from a pxi-1010 chassis
when powering up he will not boot and the power led is blinking green. The manual says one of the pxi or onboard supplies is operating outside of the normal limits, or is not functioning. I can see a red led lit if i look inside the pxi chassis
please advise i'm open to suggestions. Is the pxi 8108 compatible in the old 1010 chassis ?
are there voltage points i can test or leds to verify all the power is right
thanks in advance

Hi Marc,
So you had the 1010 working with the 8156b, and when you removed the 8156b and inserted the 8108, the 1010 stopped working?
Have you tried replacing the 8108? Does it work if you replace the 8108?

There are a lot of reasons the light could be flashing. Anything from a broken power supply to an incorrect configuration, but you may need to end up returning the controller for repair. I would recommend you contact NI support to troubleshoot the device if you have a service contract.
