This is a good question and will depend on what chassis you have. There is a great KnowledgeBase to address this question:
Performing a Power Budget on a PXI SystemYou will need to open the specifications of your chassis and the specifications of the
NI PXI-5671. Then, fill the spreadsheet and make sure:
1. Ensure the Amps (current) available at each rail can supply the current requirements of all modules
2. Ensure the total Watts (power) supplied by the chassis is sufficient for the total power for all modules
3. If some rails share power (usually 3.3V and 5.5V), ensure the total power for these rails is sufficient)
