Installing software on PXI RT Linux system

Hi,

I have a PXIe-8822 controller running RT Linux. It is a new controller I am trying to install software on. It is connected to my host computer through a crossover cable. I was able to install the Linux RT System image 21.0 on it. I am trying to install software on it such as LabVIEW Realtime, DAQMx drivers and the VeriStand Engine.

The host computer is connected to the internet, but the RT system is not. So I am following the procedure in https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YGDsCAO&l=en-US

Following the instructions there, using NI Package Manager, I installed NI Linux Real-Time Offline Installation Support 21.0 to be consistent with the Linux RT System image as well as to be compatible with VeriStand 2020 R6 that I have. However, when I go to NI MAX to install software on the RT system, I don't see any software to install. The following is what it looks like in NI MAX.

And then when I do Add/Remove software, I see no software to add.

Could you please advise what I am missing?

I was also wondering if perhaps I should do Add/Remove software -> Advanced -> Manage feeds. But then I get this message.

The RT system is booted is safe mode, and I am not sure what the 'auto restart' flag is.

Thank you.

Siva

I was eventually able to resolve this. I had to go to NI Package Manager and uninstall absolutely everything, then reinstall and it worked. There was probably one or a few components that were version-incompatible, but it was impossible to identify.
