Using 34401A VI in Test Stand

This should be easy, or so I thought. I'm calling some VIs from Test Stand 3.5 to access a 34401A DMM. Everything works just fine on my development PC in the lab in which I have the full blown development versions of Test Stand and Lab View (8.2). The problem is when I try to move everything to a PC out on the production lines in which I have installed the Lab View 8.2.1 runtime engine. I keep getting an error about the Extended User Data.vi possibly not being the correct version or some sub VI is missing... I've had this issue in the past before. But, once I look at the full VI heirarchy, I have always been able to get all the suppporting VIs and get it working. I thought I did the same for this case also but obviously I am still missing something. Are there other VIs that may not show up in the full heirarchy view that I need? Anyone else experience this issue?

Hi John242424,

This may be happening due to the LabVIEW Adapter being configured to use an ActiveX server other than LabVIEW.  What type of error are you getting when trying to call the VIs?  Click here to find a KB that discusses the error thrown when the adapter is configured improperly.  Please post back and let me know how that worked.

Best of luck!

Chris,
Thanks for the reply. While I still doen't know what the exact cause of the problem was, but I was able to get things working. In the end I took the 3 "Device Drivers for DaQ..." from my Developer Suite pack and chose to install just about every thing on the PC in question(took about 25 minutes!). After install was finished, I reinstalled the 34401A driver and everything worked fine. As I suspected, while I did copy all the sub VI's in the heirarchy, there is obviously some other peices needed which are in installed with the device drivers disks. Thanks again for the help and the quick response.
