Running the deployment utility from the command line

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi Jim,

I understood there is no way to run the DeploymentUtility in background. No probs, but currently i am facing another issue.

I am building the test-stand solution (mytest.tsd) file in the following manner from a continuous integration server(Jenkins).

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\TestStand 2013\Components\Tools\Deployment Utility\DeploymentUtility.exe build "C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2013\mytest.tsd"

Each time i am expecting to increment the product version in the final output. Can i achieve this by passing an argument to the Deploymentutility.exe? Or is there any otherway to specify the needed version number.

If we build the tsd file using GUI mode then it will automatically increment the Product Version and if we save the tsd file after each build then we can assure that the installer which creates next time would have an incremented Product Version.

How can achieve this when I deploy the tsd file using DeploymentUtility from commandline.?
