Run Teststand Deployment utility without license

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a test sequence with Teststand 2019 and i want to deploy the system in order to install it on other machines.

I used the MSI Based Installer output type and included all the drivers needed.

In the Feature Comparison for TestStand Deployment Utility build output types table given by NI, this output type Can be installed on a clean machine without National Instruments software.

But when i tried to run the installer on a machine without teststand, i'm asked to activate the license of labview.

I need to know if there is a solution to run a deployed teststand system (.exe) on a pc without teststand license

Hi aziz24,

You need a deployment license of TestStand if you want to use your sequence on another computer.

There is 2 types of deployment license: 

• Base: that correspond to the runtime of TestStand and allows you to use your sequence
• Debug: you can modify your sequence like the development environment.

Hi Cdkey,

I'm using Teststand 2019 in my build computer (with development license) and for my target computer i have a 2012 Teststand deplyoment license.

Is it possible to run my sequence in the target computer ? Otherwise how can i make the conversion?
