NI USB-6008 and Ubuntu 18.04

Dear All,

We have NI USB-6008 and we are trying to use it from an Ubuntu machine (18.04).

I install the driver from this page: https://www.ni.com/nl-be/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-daqmx.html#460239

And I tried to follow this Python example to use the board: https://nidaqmx-python.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

However, I got an error showing me that the Device Dev1 can not be found. I checked the name of the Device from a Window Machine with NI Max (indeed it was Dev1).

Could anyone help me?

Thank you in advance.

Michele

It may not be the same name in Ubuntu as in Windows, it can vary machine to machine as the name is something assigned and not stored in the device.

Hi,

thanks for your answer. Do you know how to check the name of the device in Ubuntu? I saw that I can not use NI-MAX.

Thanks for your help.
