DAQ using Raspberry Pi and NI USB 6001

Hello,

I have a project to do which require to acquire a signal from a basic sensor (probably a load sensor) using a Raspberry Pi and a NI USB 6001 in order to classify them (in a text file for example).

This is not really my specialty, I have tried to read about it but I still have a few questions :

- How can I acquire the data coming from the USB NI 6001 to the Rasperry Pi, I suppose that I need to install an appropriate driver, but where can I find it ? (if it does exists)

- isn't it preferable to acquire directly the analog signal, process it and convert it with an ADC to exploit this signal with the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi ?

I hope these questions makes sense, this is very new for me. Thank you.

I'm interested in a solution, too.
