What is the meaning of the message "The file F:\HeadPhone EQ.ewprj was not recognized as a valid file format." when opening an Ultiboard file that was OK until the most recent save?

Hi All,

I'm an electronics instructor and some of my students have been getting an error when opening their Ultiboard and Multisim files lately.

They have been working on their designs and, after making some changes and saving their work, the next time they try to open the file they get this message "The file F:\HeadPhone EQ.ewprj was not recognized as a valid file format."

What does that message mean?  What are we doing wrong?

Thanks.

mr_e,

If you can submit file or start a support session one of the NI Application Engineers would be able to look at the file to see what is happening.

It would probably be good to get the original file and the corrupted file.

Thanks!

I get this fairly often if UB crashes doing something.  I then have to revert to a saved backup.  I don't remember seeing after a normal successful save.
