I created a four resistor, three load voltage divider in multisim. I did all of the calculations for the circuit. When in simulate mode the values of voltage and current returned by the software do not match my calculations. It looks like multisim can't solve for the correct values on this type of circuit. Is this a correct statement or am I expecting too much of the software?

Hi Markeye,
Please post you circuit so that we can investigate this issue.

Here is the ms11 file. Please be sure to open it in version 11.0.1 to be sure the same environment exists. I am using the student edition.

Hi Merkeye,
There are a couple of things that can contribute to simulation results that's different from the calculation.
1. The multi-meter have internal resistor which will be included in your circuit. If you are measuring voltage, a parallel resistor will be added to your circuit and for current reading; a series resistor will be added. Double click on the multi meter and press the "Set" button to view what those values are. If you connected many meters to your circuit, each internal resistor contribute a small error to your circuit but if you sum up the errors, it could me make a different.
2. When there are large resistors connected in the circuit, the internal resistor and the circuit resistors are not far apart which means the internal resistor will have a bid influence on the calculation. If this is the case, you have to increase the internal resistance for the voltage meter. Double click on the meter and prees the F1 button, the help you give a description about this issue.
If you want to get a pure reading, you should remove all meters and run the transient or DC analysis; this will give you the most accurate result.

I used the dynamic probes under the simulate menu. Thank you for the help!!
