Help with Lab Design

Hello,

I am not sure where to post this so I hope I picked the correct area, if not I apologize. I am trying to do this lab in Multisim but I can not seem to figure out how to lay it out in multisim. I have part of the layout but I have yet to work with relays and spst and dpdt. Any help in designing this circuit I would very much appreciate it.

What does this have to do with Multisim? The Procedure clearly refers to a physical relay. Also, the schematic shows a SPDT relay not DPDT.

Hello,

I am trying to set up the circuit in figure 14-2 in multisim. That is what is has to do with multisim. Obviously I don't know how to do that. In the materials required for this experiment is stated:

  • One DPDT relay with a low-voltage dc coil
  • Two LEDs: One Red, One Green
  • One SPST switch
  • Two 330 Ohm resistors

Since I am fairly new to this I am not sure how to set this up in multisim to run the experiment. Am I misunderstanding Multisim's capabilities?

I do not have Multisim, so I cannot answer your question directly.  It seems likely that all those components should be available.

Hi Andrew,

You can find the DPDT relay by selecting Place>>Component, go to the Electro_Mechanical group and select the Coils Relay family, select the Control_1C.  Place the part on the work area then double click on it; you will see how much current you will need to turn the relay on/off.  The is screen shot below is your basic connection for the realy.
