voltage resolution specs for USB DAQs...

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew what the smallest voltage increment (i.e. 0V-100V in .05mV steps) that the USB 6008 and the USB 6210 can sense on their  analog channels...  I can't find this in the datasheets.

Thanks!

First of all, you must be already be aware that you cannot measure your 0 to 100V directly using these cards.

USB 6008 has highest input range of +/- 20V in Differential mode and has 12 bit resolution and it can measure voltage incremnents in steps of 0,009765 Volts in this mode

USB 6210 has highest input range of +/- 10V  in differential mode and has 16 bit resolution and it  can measure voltage increments in steps of 0.000305 Volts in this mode

Read this link to understand how to calculate resolution

Another thing to consider is the absolute accuracy and the noise specifications which will determine the accuracy of your measurement.

Thanks for the info!  I'm looking into it now.  The voltage range was merely meant to be representative, not actual.  It looks like the 6211 has the resolution we would need, but the 6008 does not.

Thanks again, Kelly
