visual basic 6 (vb6)and daq ocx

I am new to developing code in Visual Basic 6. I have always programmed in LabVIEW.

I have Visual Basic 6 source files from a test station PC that has a NI DAQ board.

I am wanting to modify the code on my PC at my desk, and this PC does not have a DAQ board.

When I open up the Visual Basic project file, I get an error about not finding the *.ocx files.

To get rid of this error, should I just install NI-DAQ?

Hello nyc,

The files with the ocx extension are installed with the DAQ driver.  Install the driver onto your desk PC and everything should be fine.  You can find the needed driver to download at our Drivers and Updates page.
