Install 6713 PCI board

I have LabWindows 7.0 and a 6713 Analog Output PCI board installed on one computer.  I have created a .exe file.

I need to transfer the board to another computer and run the application I created there.  I am having problems trying to write to the board.  I keep getting the -1024 error.

I have removed all teh programs and PCI cards, and I am starting fresh on this second computer.  I do not have LabWindows installed, nor the CD anymore so that is not an option.  I simply want to install the board and have the software application I created run.  What are the steps that I need to do?  I only have the NI-DAQ 7.0 software CD that came with the board.

When I try to install the NIDAQ software CD on the computer, I receive an error: "Error 1311.  Source file not found: E:\distribution\components\Core\MetaInstallerR1.cab.  Verify that the file exists and you can access it."

I did verify it, and the files are there.  It produces an error for every event it tries to install (41) with different *.cab files.

Thanks!

Hi,

You will not need LabWindows installed on the second computer to run the executable. You will need:

- the DAQ Driver
- LabWindows CVI Run-time Engine
- any hardware that the executable interfaces with

The National Instruments website has free downloads of current and past DAQ Drivers. I recommend downloading one of these drivers. If your application is using Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy), then I recommend installing Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) version 7.4.1.  If you are using NI-DAQmx, then I recommend downloading version NI-DAQmx 8.0. I hope that you find this information helpful.

Regards,
Hal L.
