using CF 6004 without LabView

Does anyone have any idea how to use the CF 6004 card without labview?

We are using the Compact Framework on a Pocket PC which talks to a existing DATAQ CF2 card. This uses a single DLL which came with the card.

We are now trying to use the new NI CF card. I was hoping there would have been a DLL available.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

The driver for the CF-6004 is called NI-DAQmx Base 1.0.1 for Pocket PC. This driver only has a LabVIEW API, and therefore cannot be used without LabVIEW and the LabVIEW PDA module.

Unfortunately this means that you wont be able to use this compact flash DAQ card in the same way you have used the other card in the past.

Normally NI drivers have a C API to allow customers to program in text based languages - but at present this is not supported by the driver which supports this device.

You can make a request for such functionality at our Product Suggestion Centre - so that our developers are aware of the interest in this type of solution

Strangley enough, the dll with the other CF card has labview API calls in it. They are the only ones I can get to work with the Compact Framework.

It's a long shot, but I would assume the CF 6004 drivers may work in a similar way, but I cannot install it to find out. I have had NI's Chris Mead in, to look at the problem, hopefully he will be able to find a solution.
