simultaneous read write digital i/o channel

Hi,

In the attached labview 8.5 VI, I am trying to write data to a digital I/O port and at the same time monitor the state of this port.  I think this should be possible but I am not sure how to code it.  If this possible, I would like to know what I am doing wrong in my VI.

Thank you for posting your question on the NI Forums. It sounds like what you are wanting to do is Hardware Comparison. This is only possible with our PXI-6551 and PXI-6552 boards. One option for you is for you to wire you digital output to another digital line and then measure your signal on the other digital line. I have attached three files, two shipping examples, one does a digital write and the other a digital read. The third file (Digital Input Output) is a combination of writing to a digital port and then monitoring another port. All you would need to do is wire the ports to one another.
