reduce input resolution

Hello,

I am using LabView 8.2.

I aquire data with a PDA and NI CF-6004 card.

The NI CF-6004 has a ADC resolution of 14bits.

This high input resolution isnt necessary for that measurement.

Is there a possibility to reduce the resolution.

I think that would speed up my program on the PDA.

Hello,

this is not possible, as the resolution is dependent on the used ADC. As the ADC can not be exchanged, the resolution and maximum sampling rate are defined by the hardware, and not customizable by software or the driver.

There are products (like PXI-4070, a DMM for example) where you can reduce accuracy to gain speed, but for the CF-6004 this is not possible.
